Job summary

The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Los Angeles VA Medical Center is seeking full/part-time Food Service Workers to provide exceptional service in our cafes and retail markets.

A current REAL ID is required. You should be able to read instructions and perform basic math for food preparation, stand and walk constantly, bend frequently, and lift up to 40 pounds unassisted. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required; excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• REAL ID required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
• Ability to read instructions and perform basic math for food preparation.
• Requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending.
• Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the food service industry is preferred but not necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills.
