Mesquite Gaming in Nevada is seeking a friendly, efficient Food Server to provide professional guest service in our restaurant and bars. You will inform guests of specials, answer questions on menu items and preparation, take orders and serve food and beverages.
The role requires excellent communication and teamwork in a busy casino environment. You must be at least 21 years old, fluent in English, and possess a Food Handler Card and an Alcohol Awareness Card.
STARTING RATE: $12.00
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: S. Nevada Health District Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. Must be able to lift moderately heavy food service trays up to 50 pounds to shoulder level.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as kitchens, restaurants, bars, coolers, offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences, and commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with kitchen equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire, health and safety regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
