Overview
Sam's Club role focusing on prepared food merchandise and member service with an emphasis on knowledge sharing, brand advocacy, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, preparing food to specifications, leveraging digital tools, driving area performance, and upholding company policies and ethics.
What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborates with cross-functional teams; educates other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicates effectively with team members; and remains flexible to work in other areas as needed.
- Be an Expert: Prepares food according to item specifications; plans future productions and mass productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment; demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Drives area performance; stocks and rotates merchandise; ensures quality and date control standards; eliminates waste; provides member service by recognizing member needs and assisting with purchasing decisions and payment types; locates merchandise; resolves member issues and concerns.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Acts as a brand advocate; develops, influences, and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented style; understands roadblocks and assists in training.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; uses the Open Door Policy; applies these in executing business processes and practices.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress; and adapts to change and feedback.

Compensation
The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: The position requires successful completion of all job trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period upon hire. Other specified minimum qualifications may apply as listed by the company.
Preferred Qualifications: Food Safety Certification; Food Service Certification; Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
