Job summary

Walmart is seeking team members in Metairie, LA to support prepared foods, customer service and store operations. The role requires learning fast, collaborating across teams, and adapting to changing business needs.

You will help educate teammates on tools, comply with food safety standards, and participate in seasonal planning. The position offers an hourly wage between $17.00 and $25.00, with premiums possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Complete required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period if selected.

Responsibilities

• Be an Expert: prepare food per item specifications; plan for future and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation, cold chain, inventory; operate and sanitize equipment.
• Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve shopping experience; use handheld tech for decisions on production, ordering, and training; adapt to new tools and encourage others.
• Be an Owner: drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; provide member service and assist purchasing decisions; handle payments and locating merchandise; resolve issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: act as brand advocate; inspire others to work respectfully and as a team; identify and help train roadblocks.
• Compliance & Policies: comply with policies and ethics; complete work with proper planning; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers and partners; adapt to change and feedback.

Hourly Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
