Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Fremont, CA seeks an experienced CAE engineer to design and analyze automotive interior trim structures using LS-DYNA and Abaqus.

You will mesh, model, and assemble vehicle sub-systems with HyperMesh, ANSA, META and Primer; run independent simulations; assess strength, durability, air bag deployment impacts, and compliance with FMVSS and ECE interior standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in FE modelling using LS-DYNA and Abaqus.
• Ability to analyze automotive interior trim structures.
• Must be able to interact with design team to implement CAE feedback.
• Proficient in strength and durability analysis for interior components per standards.

Responsibilities

• Run independent CAE simulations for interior trim structures.
• Perform airbag deployment impact analysis on interior trim components.
• Evaluate trims for abusive load cases and durability under FMVSS/ECE standards.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to implement CAE-driven design changes.

Job description

• Experienced using LS-DYNA & Abaqus in FE modelling and analysing Automotive Interiors Trim Structures (Instrument Panel ,
• Experience in meshing, modelling and assembly of vehicle sub-systems using HYPERMESH, ANSA, META and Primer as pre & post processing tools.
• Should be able to handle simulation independently using LS-Dyna & Abaqus and interact with design team for modifications based on CAE results.
• Should able to perform strength & durability analysis on Interior Trim structures as per FMVSS and ECE standards.
• Should able to evalutate Inerior trim structures for abusive load cases.
• Should able to perform Air Bag deployments and its impact on Interior trim sturcture performance.
• Should be able to handle simulation with dummy FE models.
• Should have strong know-how in FMVSS and ECE standard related to interiors.
