Cadrex is seeking a Welder II in Bloomingdale, IL, to perform manual welding and fabricate weldments to defined specs and production schedules.

You will set up tools, read prints, inspect quality, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement on 2nd shift. Requirements include 1+ year metal manufacturing, AWS TIG certs, knowledge of welding symbols and measurement equipment; HS diploma.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ years in a metal manufacturing setting.
• AWS TIG welding certifications required (Stainless, Aluminum, Galvanized).
• Basic understanding of welding symbols, tolerances and measurement equipment.
• Maintain weld certifications in two or more processes as location requires.
• Ability to read prints and work orders; pass standard math calculations.

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Welder II to use Manual Welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards and production schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs
• Arrange parts for welding and staging processes
• Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
• Uphold site efficiency standards
• Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures
• Perform other duties as requested by the Lead
• Assist in other work areas as assigned
• Understand welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment
• Work completely independently without supervision
• Trouble shoot and resolve issues in assigned work center
• Produce quality work at company standard efficiency level for assigned work center
• Cross trained in multiple workstations

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years in a metal manufacturing setting, strongly preferred
• Ability to pass AWS certifications for TIG welding (Stainless steel, aluminum and galvanized), required
• Possess a basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment, required
• Meet or exceed company PPM level standards by consistently producing quality work, requiredObtain and maintain weld certifications in two or more welding processes specific to employee’s location, required
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
