Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is hiring a CADD Technician - Civil Engineering to support land development and infrastructure projects. You will create detailed construction drawings and exhibits for commercial, residential, and site development work, collaborating with engineers and designers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred) and strong communication. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to company CAD standards, with comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training with CAD coursework.
• Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD experience in an engineering/design setting.
• Experience with Civil 3D preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with good time management.
• Client service mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare computer-generated civil drawings and exhibits per standards.
• Develop layouts, detail drawings, sketches, diagrams, and plans.
• Create and revise drawings for commercial, subdivisions, site planning.
• Produce drawings from sketches, plans, specs with CAD tools.
• Assist team with construction plans, exhibits, and graphics.
• Follow CADD standards for layering, sheet layout, drafting procedures.
• Communicate schedules, updates, and progress with engineers/designers/PMs.
• Develop proficiency with CADD for earthwork and hydrology tasks.
