Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Safety & Site Support Division seeks a CADD Technician/Assistant Civil Engineer to produce land survey maps using AutoCAD and Carlson or Civil 3D. You will review maps for accuracy, assist in progress reporting, attend meetings, and help prepare presentations for capital construction projects.

Minimum qualifications include a civil engineering degree(s) and related experience in surveying; residency not required for NYC employment, with openings

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with land surveying practices in NYC is preferred.
• Proficiency in CADD and ability to read as-built/record information.

Responsibilities

• Produce land survey map deliverables for DDC capital construction projects (Topographical/Property Line, Damage/Acquisition, Highway/Sewer Plan and Profile).
• Review maps for accuracy, completeness, and standards conformity.
• Prepare project progress reports and attend meetings; assist in presentations.
