Job summary

Mi-Tech, part of the Michels Family of Companies, is seeking a CAD Drafting Technician to prepare utility plan sets and related drawings in AutoCAD for construction and field use.

Responsibilities include completing permit drawings, compiling job books, and importing/exporting various file types to and from AutoCAD, along with taking field notes and using GPS for plan design of power and communication facilities.

As a CAD Drafting Technician, your primary responsibilities include completing utility plan sets in AutoCAD for use in construction, generating land base prints in AutoCAD for use in the field, completing permit drawings for various permitting authorities, compiling job books upon project completion and import/export of various files types to and from AutoCAD. You will also be responsible for taking field notes, utilizing GPS and completing plan design for new and existing power and communication facilities.
