Roc Search is seeking a CAD Technician for an established engineering firm in Northwest Houston. The role focuses on producing and revising drawings for water and wastewater facilities, turning markups into clean construction documents, and coordinating revisions with engineers and designers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CAD drafting experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This is a fully onsite, full-time position with typical 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CAD drafting experience in a civil engineering setting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce and revise construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply redlines accurately.

Have experience drafting water/wastewater facilities or supporting civil engineering design teams? I'm recruiting for a CAD Technician opening with an established engineering firm in Northwest Houston.

The position sits within the firm's Facilities team, supporting water and wastewater projects. They're ideally looking for someone with 3+ years of relevant CAD experience who can help prepare project drawings, work through engineering revisions, and maintain accurate construction documents.

About the work

The role involves CAD drafting support for the engineers working on water/wastewater facilities. You'll help turn engineering direction and markups into organized drawing sets, update plans as designs develop, and coordinate revisions with the project team.

Backgrounds we'd be interested in

• CAD drafting or design experience within a civil engineering firm.
• Water/wastewater facilities, water treatment, or wastewater treatment projects.
• Pump stations, lift stations, facility piping, or related infrastructure.
• Preparing construction drawings, layouts, sections, and details.
• Working with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Reading engineering drawings and incorporating redlines accurately.

You don't need experience in every area listed. If your background is in land development, utilities, or another civil drafting discipline, I'd still welcome a conversation about your experience.

What we're looking for

• Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience as a CAD Technician, CADD Technician, CAD Designer, or Civil Designer.
• Strong drafting fundamentals and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage drawing revisions and keep project files organized.
• Clear communication and a willingness to work closely with engineers and other designers.

Location and schedule

This is a fully onsite position in Northwest Houston.

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
• Friday: 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
