Job summary

Green Key Resources is seeking a CAD Technician or Design Engineer to support manufacturing facility expansion projects across the Americas. The role focuses on developing 2D CAD layouts to evaluate equipment placement and assess feasibility within potential building sites.

Entry-level candidates with AutoCAD experience are welcome, as well as more experienced applicants with manufacturing layouts and sheet metal know-how.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D CAD drafting.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• 3D CAD design experience a plus.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Manufacturing experience, knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility layouts, and sheet metal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D manufacturing floor plans using AutoCAD to evaluate layout feasibility.
• Create organized CAD models using equipment blocks, groups, and structured layers.
• Identify potential layout challenges and communicate issues to the team for review and resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to review proposed layouts and incorporate feedback.
• Integrate equipment layouts into potential building floor plans and identify necessary modifications.
• Update and refine layouts once a final manufacturing site has been selected.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Hours: 40 hours per week, with potential overtime

Green Key Resources is working with an organization seeking a CAD Technician or Design Engineer for an immediate opportunity supporting manufacturing facility expansion projects across the Americas. This role will focus on developing 2D CAD layouts to evaluate equipment placement and determine the feasibility of proposed manufacturing floor plans within potential building sites.

This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate with AutoCAD experience or a more experienced professional with a background in manufacturing layouts, sheet metal, or equipment design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D manufacturing floor plans using AutoCAD to evaluate layout feasibility.
