Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a CAD Technician to provide routine drafting and design support for Professional Engineer/Project Engineer on civil projects such as roads, schools, and commercial developments.

You will transform rough designs into working CAD documents and help with notes, cover sheets, and redlines. The role requires a HS Diploma or GED with 0–3 years drafting experience, plus familiarity with AutoCADD and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 0–3 years of drafting experience.
• Associate degree or technical training in CADD/drafting preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCADD and ability to interpret project details.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CADD) into working documents.
• Reviews and completes detailed notes, Cover Sheets, Basic redlines.
• Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CADD drafting from Professional Engineer/Project Engineer with an allocated budget.
