CAD Designer/Drafter

Cochran is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our growing team as full-time Civil CAD designer/drafters. We currently have an opening at our Lees Summit, MO office.

Cochran is an established civil engineering, construction testing, architectural, and land surveying firm with 7 offices in Missouri. Cochran specializes in public and private projects including municipal, commercial, residential, transportation, water/wastewater, site development, retail, and planning. With a team of 100+ professionals across multiple offices, Cochran brings unique knowledge and understanding to each client's project. Primary Responsibilities:

• Understand Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
• Produce drawings using CAD software, specifically Civil 3D.
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations and topographical features.
• Interpret and modify data from surveys, well logs, and geophysical reports.
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages for reproduction or other uses.
• Review sketches, drawings, and specifications received from Civil Engineers to ensure conformity to design concepts.
• Provide drafting support to Engineers and Surveyors.

Minimum Experience:

• 2-5 years civil site development experience, preferred.
• Experience with water, sewer, public, and private projects, preferred.
• Two-year design/drafting degree, preferred.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
