Suncoast Post‑Tension Ltd, a Keller Company, is an established post‑tension and rebar manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We supply construction related materials to builders from one of our eight manufacturing facilities in the US.

Position Summary

We are looking for a CAD Drafter / Detailer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Design and placement drawings for post‑tensioned concrete structures.
• Contact the customer at project start‑up and build a professional relationship.
• Develop and propose construction joint layouts and construction sequences.
• Create drawing submittal schedules based on the customer’s construction requirements and monitor progress to maintain schedule.
• Identify construction problems and implement solutions.
• Produce installation drawings and calculations according to contract documents.
• Apply revisions to placement drawings and calculations per approved drawings and / or structural revisions.
• Identify revisions that require contract change orders.
• Conduct material takeoff for change order process.
• Issue placement drawings for construction prior to material fabrication.
• Take off support and back‑up bar for fabrication.
• Communicate with Operations Department personnel to ensure the correct materials are fabricated and delivered according to the customers construction schedule.
• Maintain electronic copies of all submittals and correspondence according to company policy.

Qualifications

• CAD related AS degree preferred or equivalent work experience as CAD drafter/technician.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong math skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (2010+) required; 3D thinking abilities required.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $27.00 - $30.00 / hr. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law.
