Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Richmond, VA seeks a Mechanical/Piping Designer to perform and assist in complete designs of mechanical and piping assignments under general supervision. You will develop piping drawings using P&IDs, GA’s, and equipment drawings, with focus on accuracy and standards.
The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, 4+ years of relevant industrial experience, and proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation, plus strong
Job Scope: Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of mechanical/piping assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This level is expected to assist in the design of larger and more complex mechanical/piping assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
Certification: Certification is not required at this level.
Experience: This position requires 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
