Job summary

ADC Engineering, Inc. seeks a CAD Innovation Specialist to support and advance the technology, standards, and workflows used by our Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture teams.

This hands-on position will serve as ADC’s primary resource for Civil 3D standards, technical training, workflow improvement, and CAD-related innovation across our three offices. The ideal candidate combines extensive civil design experience with advanced Civil 3D knowledge and a passion for helping others work

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of civil engineering design and plan-production experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and implement Civil 3D and AutoCAD standards, templates, styles, and workflows.
• Promote consistent CAD practices and data management across offices.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Provide technical support to engineers, project managers, and designers.
• Develop tools, scripts, and automated workflows to improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to streamline civil design and plan-production processes.
• Manage CAD detail library, design resources, standards, and knowledge base.
• Lead or assist with software implementation, upgrades, and onboarding.
• Develop and deliver Civil 3D training through manuals, videos, workshops, and Lunch & Learn sessions.
• Create and maintain engineering calculation tools and checklists.
• Assist with technical plan reviews focused on CAD standards and constructability.
• Stay informed about Autodesk product changes affecting the civil engineering industry.
