Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation is seeking a CAD Engineer to produce high‑quality 2D and 3D drawings for OEM and O‑OEM components in Pearland, TX. You will use AutoCAD and SolidWorks for manufacturing and inspection drawings, perform basic reverse engineering, and support repair, manufacturing and service operations with precise documentation.

Experience with structured light or laser scanning and related metrology tools is preferred to collaborate with internal

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D drafting.
Ability to perform basic reverse engineering from physical parts.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D drawings for shop services, repairs and manufacturing.
Develop detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks per standards.
Perform reverse engineering of O-OEM components to generate manufacturing drawings.
Review customer specs, sample parts and legacy docs to define drawing requirements.
Prepare and maintain drawing packages, BOMs and inspection records.
Support production with shop‑ready drawings, fixtures, and tooling designs.
Update drawings to reflect repairs or design changes.
Participate in design reviews and coordinate with stakeholders.
Provide technical drawings to procurement for parts.
