Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in CAD software.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Drawing environment focused).
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications (preferred).
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience with PDM systems (EPDM preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review and update existing SolidWorks drawings based on manufacturing and production feedback.
• Modify dimensions, tolerances, annotations, and BOMs.
• Ensure consistency between 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Execute high-volume drawing revisions efficiently.

Job Title: CAD Engineer

Work Schedule: Onsite

Pay Rate: $34, Based on experience

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Engineer to support a high-priority initiative focused on improving and updating a large volume of existing engineering drawings. This role is not focused on new product design but on high-volume revision and improvement work based on manufacturing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review and update existing SolidWorks drawings based on manufacturing and production feedback
• Modify dimensions, tolerances, annotations, and BOMs
• Ensure consistency between 3D models and 2D drawings
• Execute high-volume drawing revisions efficiently
• Manage revisions using PDM (SolidWorks PDM / EPDM)
• KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
• 6 - 10 drawing revisions per day per engineer (depending on complexity)
• - <10% rework rate (measured as returned corrections)
• Backlog reduction target: 20 - 30% per month
• 100% compliance with PDM revision and workflow standards
