Description

Essential Functions

• Prepare, revise, and maintain CAD drawings, layouts, schematics, and related technical documentation.
• Review drawing requests, markups, dimensions, and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Production, Sales, or Project teams to clarify requirements and resolve drawing questions.
• Maintain drawing files, revision history, document control records, and related project documentation.
• Support design updates, product changes, customer submittals, and production documentation as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate, associate degree, or coursework in drafting, CAD, Inventor, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of CAD drafting, technical drawing, design support, or related experience.
• Experience using CAD software to create or revise drawings, layouts, or technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, dimensions, and technical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and document organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of drafting standards, drawing revisions, dimensioning, and technical documentation practices.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in designing CNC-manufacturable products, including the ability to create CAD drawings and models that meet CNC machining requirements and production standards.
• Ability to convert design concepts, markups, and specifications into accurate drawings.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing requests and meet project deadlines.

Physical Demands

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment and requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of office materials and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds may be required. The position also requires visual acuity to read documents, analyze data, and work on a computer screen for extended periods, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.

This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment. The work environment is generally climate-controlled; however, frequent visits to warehouse, or manufacturing facility may be required, depending on business needs. Flexible work hours may be necessary to support business operations, projects, meetings, and organizational objectives. This position is primarily onsite; however, occasional work-from-home arrangements may be considered based on business needs and are subject approval.
