Job summary

Turner Industries Group is seeking a CAD Draftsman to join our Engineering team at the Pipe Fabrication Facility in Port Allen, LA. You will create CAD spool sheets for fabrication, testing, and coating, ensuring adherence to customer and internal standards.

Revisions will be made as needed to reflect updated isometrics and project specs. The role requires effective communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work in a climate-controlled office environment within the shop.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the specified skill preferred.
• Experience utilizing CAD software and Excel preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor or Associate degree in CAD, Piping Design, or related field is preferred.
• Pre-employment qualification test if applicable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and site orientation.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings (Spool sheets) for pipe fabrication, testing, and coating.
• Produce CAD drawings (Spool sheets) in accordance with customer and internal standards and specification.
• Produce complete and accurate spool sheets.
• Perform revisions to spool sheets based on revised customer isometrics, orthographics, or project specs.
• Communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
