Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets in Beverly, MA seeks a Drafting Specialist to translate qualified sites into buildable, conceptual layouts for EV charging, BESS, and edge compute deployments. You will produce template-driven drawings, maintain CAD standards, and support external design partners to keep a high weekly throughput.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to 30% and IFP design stages, ensure accuracy and consistency, and help grow our rapid project portfolio with clean,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in drafting or related field or 3+ years of drafting experience.
• Expertise in AutoCAD and ability to produce site layouts and drawings at volume.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam and GIS/parcel data for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up project design templates and produce conceptual site layouts.
• Coordinate with external drafting partners to maintain weekly throughput.
• Ensure layouts reflect site constraints identified in qualification.
• Maintain CAD standards, title blocks, symbol libraries and templates.
• Support markups, revisions and drawing production through key design stages.
• Maintain repository of AHJ drafting requirements.
• Quality-check drawings before internal approvals.
