Job summary

Primera Engineers is seeking a CAD Drafter to join our Utilities team. You’ll prepare drawings and permit exhibits from engineering and field markups for designers and engineers, while coordinating CAD for projects.

You’ll support initial drawing setup, submittals, and ongoing project tasks, and assist with file management, drawing lists, and per-project client standards. If you enjoy detail and teamwork, this is for you.

Qualifications

• You’re a CAD enthusiast with at least one year of experience or technical training using AutoCAD and Revit.
• You’re a people person with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with other team members.
• You’re a detail-loving drafter who is meticulous and quality-focused.
• You’re proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

• You’ll prepare drawings and permit exhibits from engineering and/or field markups for designers and engineers.
• You’ll coordinate CAD for projects and be responsible for initial drawing setup, submittal preparation, and ongoing project support.
• You’ll assist in file management including, but not limited to, scanning, plotting, creating and updating project drawing lists and general drawing management.
• You’ll prepare drawings for permits. You’ll comply with requirements by local villages, road and rail authorities, etc.
• You’ll ensure adherence to company and industry standards. The details make the difference.
• You’ll archive CAD files in accordance with company standards. You’ll review, interpret, and implement client standards on a per-project basis.
• You’ll connect with people and regularly communicate and coordinate project activities with internal team members.
• You’ll enjoy what you do. You’ll work with great people, learn, grow and have a good time doing it.
