Job summary

Cimarron is seeking an Entry-level Drafter I to join our engineering team in Austin, TX. You will use CADD software to create and maintain detailed drawings supporting fabrication and project execution, working with engineers and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and readiness for production.

Responsibilities include updating drawings, preparing BOMs, organizing files, and assisting with design revisions. A CAD-related associate degree and Autodesk Inventor experience are required, with AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in CAD is required or preferred.
• 2 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor is required; AutoCAD and CADWorx are pluses.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately is expected.

Responsibilities

• Make minor changes to drawings, including models and BOMs.
• Model basic parts and assist in preparing drawings and files for production.
• Maintain and archive model and drawing files and related documentation.
• Update title blocks, revision histories, and borders on drawing packages.
• Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CADD software.
• Verify dimensions and drawing details prior to release for fabrication.
