Job summary

RedGuard is seeking a CAD Drafter I to work with Project Managers, Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering to produce accurate drawing sets using AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit. You will create precise 2D and 3D models for building projects including blast-resistant and security-related designs, and review drawings for conflicts.

You will coordinate disciplines, assist in clash detection, and support engineers with as-built drawings and field changes from production teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of drafting experience.
• Basic understanding of Autodesk software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates various models for assigned projects.
• Coordinates and compiles multiple disciplines related to construction and manufacturing.
• Reviews project models for clashes and overall workability.
• Gathers field changes and generates as-built drawings per document control.
• Performs primary drafting work in AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor.
• Assists engineers and project managers in resolving drawing conflicts.
• Verifies fabrication methods align with approved designs on the shop floor.
