Job summary
INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking a Drafter / CAD Operator in San Diego, CA, to support Systems Engineers and AutoCAD specialists.
The role focuses on Installation Requirements Drawings, Installation Design Plans, and As-Built drawings under PMW 790 planning and logistics support services. The incumbent will perform site surveys, ensure compliance with SIPH/IRD standards, and assist in documenting hardware installations.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma required.
- 1 year of experience creating AutoCAD drawings (IRD/IDP/As-Built).
- Experience updating AutoCAD red lines to current state.
- Strong ability to communicate complex ideas visually.
Responsibilities
- Support Systems Engineers and CAD specialists with IRD, IDP, and As-Built drawings.
- Review IRDs/IDPs/As-Builts for SIPH/IRD compliance.
- Conduct IDP/IRD reviews to document hardware installations.
- Survey shore sites to aid drawing development.
- Provide guidance to other IRD/IDP developers and document lessons learned.
- Respond to data calls with researched information.
- Assist with bid/proposal efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
