Job summary

SilencerCo is seeking a CAD Drafter / Engineering Technician to support the engineering team with CAD drawing and drafting work, enabling engineers to focus on higher-level design and problem-solving.

You will assist with product testing, data collection, and technical report writing, and help manage drafting updates for legacy products. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach and interest in firearms are a strong fit.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Solid CAD skills; experience with SolidWorks.
• Solid understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) is highly preferred.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
• Hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to write clear, organized technical reports based on testing and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and revise CAD drawings and models in SolidWorks to offload drafting and drawing-development work from the engineering team.
• Support engineering changes on legacy products, including drawing updates, new drawing creation, and detailed drawing review.
• Apply GD&T correctly and consistently when creating or reviewing drawings.
• Assist with developing and maintaining drafting standards and templates in support of engineering-led initiatives.
• Support product testing, data collection, and reporting.
