Job summary

Delta Fabricating, a precision manufacturer in Minnesota, is seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer to create models and shop drawings per customer specifications and to assist in manufacturing support.

You will design jigs and fixtures, generate routings, and process engineer change requests, working closely with engineering. Strong drafting skills and Inventor proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical degree in CAD/CAM/Design preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.
• Proficient in drafting and design practices.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Experience with Inventor and ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, complete CAD models and shop drawings per customer specs.
• Design jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing.
• Create routings for manufacturing processes.
• Process engineer change requests as required.

Delta Fabricating is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter / Designer to join our team. In this role, you create models and shop drawings per customer specifications. You will also assist in other activities that support manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create clear, complete, and accurate models and drawings that meet all customer requirements while following Delta Fabricating standards
• Design jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing
• Create routings for manufacturing
• Completing engineer change request forms

Qualifications:

• Associate or Technical degree preferred (Computer Aided Drafting and Design)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, this position works directly with customers
• Proficient in drafting and design
• Good mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Experience in solid modeling software – Autodesk Inventor preferred
• Experience using ERP software – ECI M1 preferred
• Other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
