Vertex Custom Cabinetry in Tempe, AZ, is looking for a skilled CAD Drafter to join our growing millwork shop. The candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings using CAD software and will work closely with project and shop managers to meet project specifications.

This full-time position requires a strong understanding of millwork design principles. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 6 months CAD software experience such as AutoCAD, Microvellum and BiesseWorks preferred.
• Experience in drafting for architectural millwork is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and BiesseWorks.
• Create schematics and layouts for various millwork projects.

• Prepare shop drawings for fabrication and installation.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating detailed drawings and plans for various projects using advanced CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of millwork design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with project and shop managers.

Duties

• Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Microvellum and BiesseWorks.
• Create schematics and layouts for various millwork projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate with field measurers, project manager and shop manager to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare shop drawings for fabrication and installation for cabinetry and countertops.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members and clients.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.

Qualifications
