Job summary

DeZURIK is seeking a Special Order Designer I to create and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings and model databases, handling simple customer special orders as needed. Proficiency with DraftSight, AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required, and you will ensure accuracy of engineering documents while supporting both new and existing designs.

This role supports manufacturing standards such as MSS, ASME, ANSI and ASTM, and offers a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma plus a 2-year associate or vocational degree in technical drafting and design.
• Proficient use of 2D and 3D CAD drafting systems and computer processes.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D or 3D drawings and layouts using DraftSight/AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Provide CAD layout support for new and existing designs.
• Contact vendors for technical data on purchased components.
• Ensure accuracy of new engineering documents.
• Support simple customer special orders through drafting, BOM, and vendor data.
• Become familiar with MSS, ASME, ANSI and ASTM.
• Assist/backup SOE designers with drafting and design workloads.
• Provide internal engineering and troubleshooting support.
