Job summary

Rayl Engineering & Surveying, LLC in Central Florida is seeking a skilled CAD designer to support civil site projects, including subdivisions, commercial and public works developments. You will prepare plan sets and collaborate with a collaborative team in a role focused on hands-on experience and professional growth.

The position requires AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency, an associate degree or CAD certificate (or equivalent), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CAD certificate, Engineering Technology degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) or more years of CAD experience after educational requirements. Land development experience highly preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to manage time across multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D, working from engineering input and direction provided by a Professional Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Develops design drawings, specifications, and quantity estimates for civil site projects including subdivisions, commercial, multifamily, and public works developments.
• Assists engineers and project managers in the development of civil site design plans and supporting documentation.
• Collaborates with the development team to deliver integrated project solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
