Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp in Renton, WA seeks a CAD Designer to create shop drawings, tolerances, dimensions, and project data under guidance from a Construction Engineer and Sr. CAD Designer. You’ll develop preliminary designs for review and ensure drawings meet engineering requirements.

The role requires a technical degree in CAD or related field, 4+ years CAD experience, and 3+ years in construction. AutoCAD certification is a plus; Civil 3D and Revit knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate’s degree in CAD, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of CAD experience, with proficiency in CAD software.
• 3+ years in the Construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings with tolerances, dimensions, and data under guidance.
• Prepare preliminary designs for review by Construction Engineer team.
• Analyze sketches and inputs to determine drawing approaches.
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering requirements and company standards.
• Build detailed drawings describing construction design intent.
