Job summary

A prominent oil and gas firm, based in Colorado, is looking for a detail-oriented individual to create and manage drawings for facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in oil and gas design, CAD management, and proficiency in various AutoCad versions. Responsibilities include maintaining drawing standards and supporting documentation during audits. Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years of experience in oil and gas facility design, drafting, and engineered drawing preparation.
  • Ten years of experience with 2D and 3D AutoCad (recent release).
  • Experience with pipeline systems and ASME practices.
  • Must have ten years of experience with 2D and 3D AutoCad (recent release), and five years of experience with AutoCad Plant 3D, CADWorx Plant, and CADWorx P&ID.
  • Must have previous CAD management experience with the ability to develop, implement, and maintain standard CAD practices.
  • Must have experience acting as a lead with training and mentoring experience.
  • Must have experience with design of pipeline systems with ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.3, and API recommended practices such as API 1104 and API 5L.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation and filing of construction records.
  • Act as primary contact for drawing and record retrieval during audits.

Job description

This position is responsible for creating, updating, and organizing drawings for Red Cedar Gathering Company (Company) facilities, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), site layouts, and mechanical, civil, and electrical drawings. Manages CAD/design standards, performs drawing updates, oversees drafting deliverables from engineering firms, and ensures proper documentation and filing of construction records (e.g., weld maps, hydrotest reports, third-party drawings). Acts as the primary contact for drawing and record retrieval during audits and supports updates to construction standards and specifications.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in CAD, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or other a relevant field and ten years of experience in oil and gas facility design, drafting, and engineered drawing preparation;
  • an Associate degree in CAD, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant field and twelve years’ experience in oil and gas facility design, drafting, and engineered drawing preparation;
  • a high school diploma or equivalent and fifteen years’ experience in oil and gas facility design, drafting, and engineered drawing preparation is required.
  • Must have ten years of experience with 2D and 3D AutoCad (recent release), and five years of experience with AutoCad Plant 3D, CADWorx Plant, and CADWorx P&ID.
  • Must have previous CAD management experience with the ability to develop, implement, and maintain standard CAD practices.
  • Must have experience acting as a lead with training and mentoring experience.
