Overview
Job Summary: Skilled CAD/CAM Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in CAM programming; Alpha CAM is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Complete CAD drawings and programs for CNC.
- Order CNC bits.
- Work with CNC operators to maintain bits, perform daily machine maintenance, and ensure CNC systems produce according to CAD programs.
- Train CNC operators.
- Troubleshoot errors from CNC machines.
- Make drawings/prints for use on the shop floor.
- Create basic work instructions for CNC operators.
- Generate programs for twin-spindle twin-table CNC routers.
- Manage tooling and inventory.
- Basic to mid-level understanding of G and M codes.
- Basic understanding of work coordinates and work offsets.
- Develop, test, and improve workflows on both the office side and on the shop floor.
Goals
- Looking to expand the capabilities of the shop by taking on new projects and developing new processes (pre-hang, assembled doors).
- Basic knowledge of coding in any language, but VBA is a big plus.
- Use of/experience with right angle or fourth axis tooling.
- Working with team on cosmetic designs and feasibility for manufacturing.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
