Douglas Custom Cabinets in Texas seeks a CAD Designer to create, modify, and archive construction drawings to client specs and company standards. You will use Cabinet Vision to carry out the design process and may participate in design consultations to develop accurate designs.
The role involves designing projects, coordinating schedules across 8, 6, and 4 week horizons, and communicating with Sales, Operations, and Installs teams to provide realistic manufacturing timelines and maintain quality
The CAD Designer is responsible for creating, modifying, and archiving the construction drawings for projects according to client specifications, and according to company standards. The CAD Designer may participate in design consultations, to develop accurate designs, and will use software such as Cabinet Vision to carry out the design process. This role will also perform any duties usually associated with this position that may not be expressly outlined, any other activities that will contribute to the organization.
The CAD Designer will primarily work in an office environment, but may also spend time in the manufacturing plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to different weather patterns/conditions, including extreme hot, cold, wind, and precipitation; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles.
