Job summary

Randstad USA in Conyers, GA is seeking a Mechanical Sheet Metal-HVAC CAD CAM Designer to design, model, and document mechanical systems with 1+ year CAD detailing experience. You will use Solid Edge 3D and CAM software to ensure high quality, cost efficiency, and accuracy across engineering, fabrication, testing, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires proficiency in Solid Edge 3D CAD modeling, CAM programming software, and engineering calculations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in sheet metal CAD detailing and design background.
• Proficiency with Solid Edge 3D CAD modeling and CAM programming software.
• Apply engineering math calculations accurately.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, UL 1995, and UL 60335-2-40 is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 3D part and assembly drawings using Solid Edge.
• Create full engineering documentation: BOMs, spreadsheets, assembly drawings.
• Evaluate design feasibility and modify designs to prevent equipment issues.
• Provide ongoing technical engineering support to production, sales, applications, and field service teams.
• Collaborate with project managers to interpret project direction and approve releases.
• Process all shop fabrication paperwork.

Job Summary

A Mechanical Sheet Metal-HVAC CAD CAM Designer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization near Conyers, GA. This role is responsible for designing, modeling, and documenting mechanical systems while ensuring high standards of quality, cost efficiency, and accuracy. The designer provides critical engineering support across application, fabrication, testing, and manufacturing teams.

Applicants should have 1+ year of experience in sheet metal CAD detailing and design background.

Candidates with similar experience will also be considered.

Candidates must be proficient in Solid Edge 3D CAD modeling, CAM programming software, and applying engineering math calculations.

Proficiency with compliance codes such as NFPA 70, UL 1995, and UL 60335-2-40 desired.

This is a direct-hire role, and our client is only seeking local talent currently.

Responsibilities
