Job summary

CMC is seeking a CAD Drafter to design concrete pipe and precast products. You will interpret plans, coordinate with engineers and clients, and ensure designs meet codes, standards, and safety requirements. The role offers training and growth in the steel and construction reinforcement industries.

You will work with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, support production, and maintain thorough design documentation while staying current with software trends.

Qualifications

• Produce accurate technical drawings and models per project requirements.
• Interpret plans, specs, and codes to ensure functional designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs, and clients to resolve design needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and models for concrete pipe and precast products based on project requirements.
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and codes to produce accurate and functional designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients to clarify design needs and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing bills of materials and other technical documentation.
• Ensure all designs adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
• Review and revise designs to incorporate feedback or changes as needed.
• Support production team with technical guidance during manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate records of design files and project documentation.
• Stay updated on advancements in design software, tools, and industry trends.
