Job summary

The Velux Group is seeking a CAD Design Specialist to provide CADD support for Product Care and R&D. You will perform fit and tolerance studies, work from red lined drawings, and collaborate with Quality Assurance and Model Shop to ensure precise part definitions.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree, have 2+ years of CADD experience, strong math skills, and proficiency with SolidWorks, Cosmos, and SAP ERP where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in CADD or related field required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in field of expertise is required.
• Strong mathematical skills required.
• Computer-Aided Drafting experience is required.
• Solid Modeling experience is required.
• SolidWorks experience is required.
• Cosmos experience is preferred.
• Practical experience or understanding of woodworking, metal working and plastic manufacturing is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency in all office systems/skills, Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience with the use of an ERP system is preferred. Use of SAP preferred.
• Must be extremely detail and accuracy oriented.
• Must be process oriented.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be a good decision maker and problem solver.
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Must present a positive and professional appearance and image.
• Must be an independent self-starter who is capable of functioning in a team environment.
