Job Overview

Position requires the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US citizenship is required. The Engineer CAD CAM 1 will work within the Design group and will be responsible for creating drawing and design packages with proper content, ensuring compliance with applicable industry and military standards.

Responsibilities

1. Create and review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel, verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used.
2. Mechanical modeling using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter.
3. Create or revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards.
4. Perform related duties as assigned or required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter.
• Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX 2412 managed with Teamcenter.
• Liaison with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and quality. Vendor liaison as required.
• Review designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication under the supervision of a Sr CAD Designer.
• Review tolerance analysis, hardware selection and fitment on assembly prints.
• Basic knowledge in GD&T and application.

• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows and NX 1946.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while under schedule pressure.
