The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a CADD Technician III to join our Lexington, KY office.


In this role, you will support engineering and design teams by preparing and maintaining accurate technical drawings, plans, and project documentation. You will use your CADD expertise to translate design concepts and technical information into high-quality deliverables while collaborating with engineers, designers, and other project professionals.


What You’ll Do:

As a CADD Technician III, you will perform advanced drafting and design support for a variety of projects. You will develop and revise drawings, incorporate design changes, maintain project files, and help ensure plans meet established company and client standards.


You will work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating closely with project teams to meet schedules, resolve drafting and design issues, and maintain consistent quality across project deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and revise detailed CADD drawings, plans, details, exhibits, and other technical documentation based on engineering/design information and project requirements.

  • Interpret sketches, markups, technical data, specifications, and design concepts to develop accurate project drawings.

  • Perform advanced CADD assignments while maintaining established drafting, layer, file management, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate drawing development and revisions with engineers, designers, project managers, and other disciplines.

  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable project and client standards.

  • Maintain organized electronic project files, drawing sets, reference files, and supporting documentation.

  • Assist with troubleshooting CADD-related issues and provide technical support or guidance to less-experienced staff as appropriate.

  • Support project teams in meeting schedules, deadlines, and quality expectations across multiple assignments.


What You’ll Bring:


  • Associate degree or technical training in Drafting, CADD, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of CADD/drafting experience supporting engineering, architecture, infrastructure, or related technical projects.

  • Bentley software experience required, including MicroStation and/or OpenRoads.

  • Experience with additional CADD/design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering/design drawings, sketches, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, drawing organization, file management, and quality control practices.

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
