Job summary

SAIC in Bedford, Indiana is seeking an Engineering Tech V to support the CAC2S SFF and MRIC programs on a fully on-site basis. The role requires coordinating production, testing, and fielding activities with government customers and technicians to ensure readiness of Air C2 systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tactical data links, network administration, and military system configurations, with proven leadership to manage production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Military MOS background and system-level experience.
• Familiarity with Link 16, MIL-STD 6016, MIL-STD 3011, MIL-STD 6017 preferred.
• Hands-on network administration and troubleshooting with Cisco gear.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and Windows Server environments.
• Production cable building and VM configuration experience.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain secret clearance (sponsorship provided).

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between government personnel and production teams.
• Attend meetings and provide insights for planning and execution.
• Supervise daily production activities and meet production goals.
• Develop and update production process documentation and data packages.
• Train and mentor technicians in system operations and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and improve production performance with corrective actions.
• Maintain production metrics, schedules, and inventory data.
• Provide technical support for design, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
• Configure, operate, and maintain CAC2S hardware and software.
• Manage Tactical Data Links such as Link 16 and VMF.
• Design virtualized system environments and create architecture diagrams.
• Advise Marine Corps leadership during test events and integration efforts.
• Develop training curricula and simulation materials for Marines.
