Job summary

TEKsystems in Montgomery, AL is seeking contractors for a contract role requiring low voltage and fiber experience. You will layout and install wireways, racks, patch panels, and grounding, and you will build closets with fiber hardware in data centers onsite.

The position is fully onsite in Montgomery, AL with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and standard benefits eligibility for temporary staff. This role involves wiring, conduit work, and tool operation as described.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
• Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.
• Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
