TEKsystems is seeking skilled technicians for a contract role based in Montgomery, AL. The candidate will install and wire data-center components, including racks, patch panels, and fiber-related hardware, onsite at the customer facility.

Responsibilities include cabling, grounding, IDC terminations, and conduit work. Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors at data-center sites, using hand and power tools to complete installations.

• Experience with network cabling and fiber preferred.
• Ability to terminate blocks and patch panels.
• Willing to work inside and outside data center environments.

Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).

Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).

Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.

Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.

Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
