CC&N is seeking entry-level Cable Technicians to join our team in Wisconsin. In this hands-on role you will learn cable installation across new construction, existing infrastructure, factories and medical facilities.

You will install, troubleshoot and work as a team to complete jobs efficiently. Ideal candidates are detail oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and can meet the expectations of pre-employment screening, while possessing a valid driver's license and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail with reliable follow-through
• Able to work in a team with a positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance that meets WI requirements; transportation to multiple sites
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, holidays
• Pass pre-employment screening

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage cabling (voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call, fiber, etc.)
• Cross-connect cable
• Perform fiber splicing and termination per color codes
• Test polarity and connectivity; repair as needed
• Install racks and patch panels; set up computer rooms
• Process paperwork accurately and on time; maintain safety standards
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies

Cable Technician

Full Time

CC&N is seeking entry level Cable Technicians to join our team! We are looking for individuals who are detail oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment. In this hands-on field position, you will learn from the best the art of cable installation in new construction, existing infrastructures, factories, and medical facilities where you will install, troubleshoot, and work as a team to get the job done.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installation of low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, fiber optic, etc.
• Cross connect cable
• Perform fiber splicing and termination of cable according to color codes
• Test for polarity, connectivity, and repair
• Install racks and patch panels
• Set up computer rooms
• Process paperwork accurately and timely
• Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards

Education/Skills/Job Experience Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
• Ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated positive attitude
• Must have and be able to provide proof of valid state driver’s license, proof of automobile Insurance that meets the WI state liability insurance levels, and vehicle with the ability to commute to various job sites
• Flexibility of work hours – Shifts can vary based on customer demands and may include, but is not limited to: occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Successfully pass pre-employment screening

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, and crawl into tight spaces such as desks, cubicles, and ceilings.
• Ability to work from ladders (minimum 6’) and lifts with arms extended above shoulders for extended periods of time
• Ability to frequently climb up/down ladder and perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladder
• Ability to load, unload and move materials up to 50lbs without assistance
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Adherence to technician uniform dress code including high-top leather/steel-toed work boots
