Job summary

Cubic Corporation in Tennessee is seeking an assembler to join the production line, assembling cables, subassemblies and final assemblies per drawings and work instructions, under direct supervision.

You will work at different stations as production needs require, operate basic tools, and follow ESD practices; familiarity with SAP - ME is a plus.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED.
• Requires a basic understanding of blue print reading.
• Able to place parts together as shown on the prints.
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
• Ability to operate industry standard hand tools.
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assembles parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
• Utilizes basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
• Uses/sets up machines, such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torques wrenches/drivers, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Utilize SAP - ME effectively and routinely and has a basic understanding of the Non-conformance (NC) process in ME.
