Job summary

Times Microwave Systems is seeking a Cable Machine Operator to support raw cable production and ensure specifications are met. You will set up, run, and help troubleshoot Braiding, Tape Wrapping, Extrusion, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include operating machines, performing setups, diagnosing minor issues, reading instructions, and maintaining documentation and quality checks. The role requires mechanical aptitude and English proficiency, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; 1-2 years technical school preferred.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to perform basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand up to 8 hours per day.

Summary

The Cable Machine Operator supports the production of raw cable to required specifications. The Cable Machine Operator sets up, runs and helps problems solve Cable Manufacturing Machines: Braiding Machines, Tape Wrapping Equipment, Extrusion Machines and Specialized Wire Equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively operate cable manufacturing machines and basic mechanical machines
• Perform machine setups
• Diagnose and help resolve basic problems with machinery
• Read and follow work instructions to manufacture quality cable
• Complete required documentation and traceability logs
• Complete in-process quality control procedures

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience, 1-2 years of technical school preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work with small hand tools
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Proficiency with computer applications
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
