Job summary

NATIONAL OnDemand, Inc. is seeking a full-time field technician to install, service, and troubleshoot broadband cable in customer homes across our service areas. You will learn on onsite training and become an expert in our latest technology while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires physical fitness to lift up to 80 lbs, ladder climbs, attic work, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Background checks and pre-hire drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Field experience is helpful and ability to use basic installation and hand tools.
• Experience with Fiber Optics installs a plus.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check and a pre-hire drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot broadband cable in customer homes.
• Provide exemplary customer service and professional conduct.
• Participate in onsite training to become an expert on our broadband solutions.
• Control income potential by the number of completed jobs and meet production targets.

Primary Position Duties:

• Earn a competitive hourly wage and enjoy an unlimited production bonus plan.

• Control your own income by the amount of jobs completed.

Position Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 80lbs.
• Climb ladders up to 28' with total load capacity of 300 pounds.
• Work in attics and other limited-space areas.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods.
• Safety culture is strong at National OnDemand, and our team members attend weekly safety meetings.

Education or Skills:

• Field experience is helpful and ability to use basic installation and hand tools.
• Experience with Fiber Optics installs a plus.
• Someone who is self-motivated.
• Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check.
• Willingness to submit to a pre-hire drug screen.
• Current valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Basic Computer Skills.
