Job summary

Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing in Dickinson, ND, is seeking a production operator to build cable wire and harness assemblies to customer specifications. You will ensure quality products within time standards and support process improvements while adhering to KMM policies.

You will read and follow processes, lift and move kits, cut, strip, and crimp materials, and assist with lean initiatives. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• KMM skill assessments (reading comprehension and dexterity) will be required for this position; minimum standards will be established at the time of the opening.
• Employees are expected to pass all required training and perform job functions efficiently and with quality.
• Requires a high degree of manual dexterity to handle small objects.
• Reading comprehension and ability to follow instructions are critical functions.
• Reliability to meet attendance, quality and productivity standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production processes and instructions.
• Lift production kits, wire bundles and/or wire and move to designated destinations.
• Cut, strips, crimp, or assemble materials using required tooling.
• Distinguish colors for proper wire identification; notify supervisor if accommodation is needed.
• Read and understand product requirements and customer specifications for corrections.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per 5S and safety requirements.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing and process improvements.
• Work overtime and flexible schedules to meet delivery schedules.
