Job summary

• Must have experience working with Engineering drawings and written work instructions.
• Knowledge of DC harness wiring using various connectors including D-Sub, Micro-D and Circular connectors
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, Assemble and Tests complete flight cable assembly and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks
• Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.
• Other duties as assigned

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician - Level 4 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Set-up, Assemble and Tests complete flight cable assembly and sub-assemblies under operational conditions.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
• No clearance required to start
• Must have experience working with Engineering drawings and written work instructions.

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret wire lists, perform continuity check-out to ensure correct wiring, splicing wires, wire prepping using thermal tweezers, spot tying, and performing other various tasks related to wire routing and wire dressing.
• Experience using basic tools (Torque wrenches, Wire Crimpers, etc.)
• Knowledge and/or experience working in aerospace
• Ability to take direction and follow company procedures and processes

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
