Job summary

Unique Store Fixtures Ltd. in Concord, ON is seeking an experienced cabinetmaker to build and install custom cabinets on site at our shop and client locations.

The role requires at least 5 years of cabinetmaking experience, strong English skills, and the ability to read plans and operate CAD and woodworking machinery. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive hourly wage and negotiated hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cabinetmaking experience.
• English language required.
• Experience with CAD and woodworking machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape and form parts.
• Prepare specifications for custom cabinets maximizing storage.
• Shape surfaces using hand tools.
• Instruct apprentices.
• Study plans and drawings.
• Operate CAD and other software.
• Assemble components and reinforce joints.
• Sand, veneer, stain or polish finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Repair or restyle wooden furniture and fixtures.
