Job summary

Leader Ambulance, a Terex Corporation company in Southern California, seeks a production assembler for cabinet fabrication on the shop floor. You will assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings, operate table saws, drills, routers, and other tools, and uphold QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings using shop tools.
  • Operate table saw, band saw, drills, router and related equipment.
  • Laminate cabinets and panels as needed and maintain cleanliness.
  • Support QA/QC checks and meet safety and 5S standards.
  • Collaborate with team and training of coworkers when needed.

Responsibilities:

Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment

Requirements:
  • Installation and fabrication of cabinet components and hardware
  • Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels
  • Laminate cabinets and panels as needed
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
  • Function with minimal amount of supervision
  • Meet standards of safety and 5S
  • Promote use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
  • Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company handbook
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications/Training:
  • Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
  • Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devises
  • Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
  • Ability to use basic mathematics
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it

  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particle and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
